Error creating a new Portal (Sharepoint 2003)


Even now with the MOSS version and lot’s of projects there are still some in Sharepoint 2003. This problem happened during the process of install Sharepoint 2003 and restore the client’s Intranet.

When we tried to create a new Portal it failed and we had an error log very similar with this one:

The problem was not very perceptive, but the problem soon was identified . .  .

The SQL Server 2000 was configured with Case Sensitive, and Sharepoint doesn’t work very well with that.

Solution: Don’t configure your SQL Server with Case sensitive. 🙂

    I have an error message which is the following:

    error creating virtual client. -6

    Do you have anybody who knows how to allow this system called audioworxs dataworxs to work from one computer to another because i cannot download any files (either written or voice character) from another computer nor can i send any of the same files.

    Please help me. Thanks.
